We are inviting a few volunteers to come between the end of February and June and we can offer free basic accommodation in return for 5 hours work per day. Alternatively, you can stay in the chateau as a paying volunteer and work 3 hours per day - the rates for lodging are here. Ideally, you will have your own transport as we are a long way from any train station or airport and it is difficult to get to the shops without a vehicle. We are inviting:

•  gardeners who will start planting a good quantity of food 
•  DIY-skilled people to just help around the place and build some green houses…lots of other stuff to do
•  Other practical people e.g. administration, marketing, IT

We have a pretty stringent requirement to keep the chateau in a condition to receive paying guests at any time.  This means that only people who like living in a very neat and tidy way will enjoy being here! As the chateau is currently run as a B&B (chambres d'hotes) the kitchen and living areas have to look perfect at all times.  If this is something that appeals to you (it does mean extra work to keep it like this) then we welcome your application.  The volunteer form is on this page - see link below
