Come by train
OPTION 1: You can catch a train to Brive or Aurillac from London via Paris. It takes about 8 hours to get there. There are 2 buses a day from outside Brive station to St Privat, our local village (2.30 and 6.20 pm but check the timetable via the link below).
There are no buses on Sunday. It costs €2 and takes 1 hour & 40 minutes so is pretty cheap and I can pick you up from the village. Please note, however, that without a car here, you will not be able to explore the area and will have to rely on cycling to the shops (15 minutes away) or lift sharing if there are others here with a car.

Come by plane
There are flights from all over the UK to the four airports near us: Limoges, Rodez, Bergerac and Toulouse. Hire a car from the airport and drive here (1.40 mins from Limoges and Bergerac; 2 hours from Rodez; 2.5 hours from Toulouse)
